A Season of Finales

Last night was a big night for TV season finales. And, if the Gilmore Girls fans will excuse me, probably the most important night of finales of the week. Since I went out last night, and since a lot of my sources of TV watching were messed up early on, I didn't get a chance to watch anything until this afternoon. It was well worth the wait.

Of course, I usually watch these shows with Maggie, but since she's out of the country, she gave me permission to watch them ahead of time just to satiate my undying need for something to do.

First, The Office. I love it. It was a great episode with a lot of loose ends that will progress into next season. If you haven't seen it, I won't ruin the ending, but it's sweet. Jan's boob job is fun, too, but kind of awkward. At any rate, I loved the storyline and the sheer potential, on top of a Spamalot cameo...

I also made a new blog because of it. During one scene in the episode, Creed talks about his blogging exploits. He gives the website www.creedthoughts.gov.www/creedthoughts. Trying it out (since in 24, the phone # they give actually works and directs you to the "fan" phone), I got nothing. So, I stole the email address creedthoughts at gmail and made a blog called creedthought.blogspot.com (someone already has creedthoughts...). Now I haven't actually done anything with it yet, but I signed up for an AdSense account for it and put some tracking software on it as a precurser to what I'm planning to do. If all goes well, I could possibly, maybe, design a CSS scheme that integrates a popup video showing clips from The Office + Previews + Guest appearances of stars, as well as link to various articles and write various reviews/link to reviews about our favorite hit show, The Office. I may even eventually migrate to a real webhost/webserver and take the domain www.creedthoughts.com, and publish with wordpress, but we'll see. It's got potential, so I thought I'd be entrepreneurial and make a move.

Next up though, I went through an episode of Scrubs (one hour double episode) and even though it was an emotional rollercoaster, it ended in one of the most dramatic cliffhangers of the shows 6 season. A lot happened (and a lot of stuff didn't matter) but the personal relationships that drive the show really shined in the two finale episodes. I can't wait to see what's coming up next.

Finally, the ever-present girly-man show. Grey's Anatomy. It was good. Not awesome. Definitely surprising, but much more in character than any of the last month's worth of episodes. One intern fails his test (and no one knows what's going to happen), one person gets to be Chief of Surgery, another gets shafted out of Chief Resident, and...Derek isn't an ass? Oh, and Meredith's half-sister is on the show now. Cool. And I feel really bad for the end, it's sad. Real sad. *sniff*

If you get a chance, definitely take some time to check these out. NBC and ABC are pretty good at webhosting the episodes after they air, so go there first. If that doesn't work (or you're computer literate and love your divx avis), check out some torrents for TV Rips. Otherwise, have a great day, and I'll see you in sunny San Diego tomorrow!
